THE Train Management System (TMS) is a computer-based information system that collects realtime information on signals, tracks, points, routes, and circuits on railway networks in India.[1] It transmits the timings of trains to controllers, who can then take decisions in realtime for diversion of trains, and other emergency train operations. It is a multi-crore system.
TMS will help authorities generate punctuality reports, graphs and other operational reports to manage trains better.
